Report on English Fest organized by Department of English, Osmania University, Hyderabad held on 20th Jan 2016
49 Geethanjalites participated in the English Fest 2016.
English Fest, conducted by Department of
English, Osmania University witnessed around 400 participants from various
colleges and universities. 25 students
from Geethanjali College of Engineering and Technology and 24 students from
Geethanjali College of Pharmacy participated in various events like Extempore
Speech, Memory Magic, Spell Smart and Word Wizard. The program was scheduled at
10 a.m. but the students reached the venue at around 10.45 a.m. As a result,they
could not participate in Dumb Charades. However, they did not leave any stone unturned and participated
in events like Extempore, Memory Magic, Spell smart, and Word Wizard. Students
learnt and enjoyed the fest.

Savitri Mani: III ECE: It is an opportunity
for us to know where we stand in terms of language comprehension. The fest is a
platform for improving our communication skills and behavioral skills.
Akhila: I CSE A: It was interesting and understood the difference between the skills acquired by us and others who
participated.
