Name: Devthon National Student Seminar
Date: 3rd and 4th Jan 2015
Our Institution has recently been added to “Devthon” Group.
This consortium drives innovation from ground level-up. They have performed a
few Devthons on various themes. This can be checked in http://www.devthon.org website.
Our management has decided to be part of this innovation
idea. In line with this goal we will have a devthon organized on 27 and 28th of
December 2014 in our college. This will
culminate with the best idea from GCET going as an entry for “National Student
Seminar” sponsored by CSI (Computer Society of India) as part of its 50th
anniversary celebration which is scheduled on 3rd and 4th Jan 2015 and Dr.
Abdul Kalam will be the chief guest for the same.
CSI has also announced that the teams with ideas submitted
by the colleges will likely have breakfast with Dr. Abdul Kalam.
The winning team of the best idea and innovation will get a
cash award of Rs.1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh).
The interested students have to attend a meeting on 17th December 2014 in the CSE Seminar hall of our college, for further details. There is a registration charge of Rs. 350 (Rs. Three hundered and fifty) per student for Devthon. Each student will get a T-Shirt and membership of Devthon as part of registration.
